We just got the word from Movement mag fellas. Movement mag issue 16 will be out soon. Here is the cover. And here’s what’s inside:
The surfing world stopped and stared slack-jawed at Hawaii for another winter while the world’s best tried to back up all the talk. Our North Shore spread traces the moments that have made the place infamous, talks hierarchy in the line-ups and bangs out the biggest shots. Jeff Hubbard stole away with the world title, the Pipeline Pro and this issue’s profile. His performances have made the rest look slow and sluggish and for a quietly spoken man he’s got plenty to say. We’ll run a special feature on the Pipeline Pro contest – hailed as the best ever – showing how the spectacle played out with all the most memorable waves from the event. Ben Player and Dallas Singer go man-on-man at a South Coast ledge in our other feature while Damian King talks sponsor drama, Ryan Hardy tours his new home and all the world champs fill our gang slot.

Heaps of news this month. New boards ranges are available from a lot of board makers around the globe. We just received the Cartel & Toys catalog for 2007 and they’re coming with a solid range of boards. Same for Science, NMD, VS & BZ. We got to see the 2007 models and they all rock. Summer is in full swing in Oz and we noticed that QCD has a boogie camp thing going on. Pretty cool. Also make sure to pimp the pic of Hardy checking his new VS quiver of boards. yewww. Nice stuff: www.qcdboards.com. Same for Toobs, they just released a new colored/checkered rail thing and surlyn slick sweet colors. Get a custom from them and feeeeeel the difference: www.toobs.com.
