…Panic Button. Yeah, “Panic Button” is the name of the future DVD that Chad and Nick Jackson will release in December this year. The DVD will showcast that crazy session with Sean Virtue that made the cover of the last Riptide Mag. Their website isnt ready yet but a teaser and a first Podcast episode are already available and we found them both after a little investigation:

Yes…more vids and video projects are coming. From what we heard the Jacksons bros (Chad and Nick) are working on a new project kinda following up where the Tension vids stopped. (yes Chris White stopped the Tensions videos). They already have insane images. Another project from Bryce Thurston called ROAM which we talked about earlier should be released sometimes in 2007. Last but not least we fell upon the FACES (click for teaser) video project that Movement Mag talks about on its blog. The teaser is super nice. Also coming soon is the “Same but different” DVD, watch their teasers here (teaser 1) and there (teaser 2). Looks good.
With all those DVDs coming we guarantee your DVD players are gonna have a hard time at the end of ‘07 ! Sofa surfing ahead !

Our good friend Loic from Cartel sent us a little ‘08 boards preview to keep you frothing for next season. Three new boards will be available very soon from Cartel: the Nine, the all new 50-50 and the all new M2 board. The rest of the current range can be downloaded here for Europe (complete Pdf Catalog) or is available online here for the rest of the world. Cartel told us they have some cool new projects for ‘08 so we’ll keep you posted as soon as we ‘re allowed to reveal the breaking news! Haha

Check this new video project from Reunion Island: www.focusprod.com. It’s in french but go to Video > Teaser and watch the teaser, it’s worth it. The Reunion island has a shit load of good spots and riders and the upcoming video will showcast them. Amaury Lavernhe (07 pipeline finalist) is one of ‘em. All the boys are definitely ripping but only have small intl’ coverage…until now.

While the Waldron Bros are flying to Chile to film for their upcoming movie, they left a little present behind: the new Waldronbros.com. It seems Australia always gets the goods first when it comes to new products. Most brands already have their 2008 board range ready in Oz. Let’s have a quick look at what’s new for this year:
The NMD ‘08 range includes a couple hull concave bottom boards, the famous Player and Winny pro models and few more models. Science just released its new ‘08 boards as well, with a nice Thomas Robinson pro model, the now famous Science 7, plus more cool models. All VS boards are now available with 3 sick pro models: PLC, Hardy & Rawlins. We tested the Hardy board a few weeks ago by the way: Hardy test. Peep the Nomad ‘08 range on their updated website. They have 3 pro models this year: M. Lacky, B. Thurston & C. James. Morey has released its ‘08 range too with a Botha model, a Dixon model and a Bunting model. Peep the whole range here: Morey ‘08 website. BZ has a new site as well, which we talked about the other day with 3 pro models too: Hubb, Player, Marquina. LMNOP also has 3 pro models this year, with the McFly board, the Skipper board and M. Novy’s board. Also check the new 4PLAY range here (PDF catalog) and Manta range here (PDF catalog).
If you want a good custom board instead of a standard stock board we strongly recommend to have your baby shaped by QCD or Funkshen or 4Play if you’re in Oz. If you’re in the US, go for TOOBS, Vortex or CustomX/CARTEL/JL. In South Africa, ask Alistair Taylor Designs: ATD. All those shapers know what they’re doing and will definitely listen to you and your needs when asking for a custom shape.
