Mmmh, actually no, it’s not OK. Once again some smart ass bodyboarder thought it was all good to steal and copy from Spongercity. This time it’s a south-american online mag that got the sweet idea to copy our graphics and template. Specially the one that you can see here on the Spongercity Interviews or Pictures page. Oh yeah, you liked it so much you fucken did the same.
Oh and we were also surprised to see that your News slogan is very original: “FRESH NEWS, We deliver Daily…” oh wait, i reckon this is what’s freakin’ written at the top of this page uh ? What the fuck were you thinking ? that no one would notice ? Nah. We cant believe you did it.
We spent hours coding and designing Spongercity and dont appreciate it very much when some loser copies and steals to create his own un-original website. Specially because the bodyboarding industry is so small that the chance to get busted when you do this is very high… This is total disrespect to other’s people work.
So you, yes, you who have stolen some shit from Spongercity.com: take ‘em off your site before we ask your hoster to do it for you.
Just to let you know, Spongercity is a trade mark, with official CopyRight registration and all texts, designs and code have been copyrighted properly and were designed and coded for this website only with our own hands. From A to Z.
If you lack of creativity, just don’t do anything and dont copy it’s better that way.
Peace.
Spongercity.com
Thanx to all the bbers supporting us worldwide and sending us news, feedback, comments and stuff. We appreciate and would never be motivated to work hard without your support and kind words.

David Child is releasing AUSTRALIAN MADE II this month and as David said, it’s gonna be packed with “unseen quality Australian gold”. David is also releasing a HOW TO dvd, featuring coaching by riders such as Ryan Hardy & Nick Ormerod. The film is aimed to appeal to all riders from first timers to the intermediate and advanced. Covering everything from buying your first board, wave knowledge, stretching to spins, back flips and perfecting you style. Release date is Nov the 12th.
The FACES dvd is now available by the way. Heaps of DVD reviews are coming on Spongercity.com with the DECADE review and a shitload of aussie vids.
Last minute update: RIPTIDE issue 159 is available, check it out here and also peep the cover here. On the Riptide site is says:
Here’s to new beginnings and fresh content. Of course, there’s all the usual departments you’ve come to expect from RT plus plenty, plenty more.
Oh, just one more thing while we’re on the topic of new beginnings and fresh content how insane is Max Arent’s first cover!
Fed up with Gold Coast crowds and the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, Ryan Hardy, Liam O’Toole and young-gun Tommy Smith cleared the ditch between Oz and NZ earlier this year. They returned with tales of isolated kegs, brain-freezing temperatures and scenery straight out of ‘The Lord of the Rings’.
John Showell is arguably the best 21-year-old in the country right now; so why don’t we hear more of the young chap? Nick Lawrence (Riptide’s Ed) ventured to John’s hometown of Cronulla or ‘The Shire’ to find out more.
Although it almost seems like a lifetime since the 2007 Human Shark Island Challenge, RT takes you behind the scenes and profiles the experiences of the tight-knit crew (riders, judges and organisers) who are the lifeblood of the coveted Island event.
Want to win all of Benny Player’s gear? Then here’s your chance! Head to Riptide’s Forum for all the details on how win yourself his swanky set-up.

After the release of the films “Denis” and “Leroy” the Waldron Bros were continually asked “can you name the next film after me?” and subsequently their new movie is titled “Insert Name Here ___,” and even comes with a texta so everyone can name it whatever the hell you want; Fred, Sally, Bob, Gertrude; you get the idea.
Showcasing shredders such as World Champ Jeff Hubbard, Queenslander’s Corey McLean and Joe Clarke. Other sections include all the usual pros and young rippers filmed in Queensland, Hawaii, the South Coast, Victoria, Western Australia, Bali, and Chile.
The DVD is out September 20.
Premiere Details coming soon.
