Edited & filmed by Rob Isambert, third movie of the ‘Ring Of Fire Series’. RING OF FIRE III sets itself above many other DVDs this year with a very wide range of spots, conditions and riders around the globe and a really good editing and soundtrack on top of that. Seriously a must have.
The DVD is full is sick destinations such as Australia, Polynesia, Mexico, California and Hawaii with the best riders riding the best waves and lots of underground rippers as well. The Oz section at nuggan is really cool, the Mexico sections are insane, the wedge section in Cali is all time with Josh Garner showing you how it’s done. The pipe section and polynesia section are all time as well. The soundtrack has a everything from NOFX to M83 and is well chosen. The footage and editing is really good and the video doesnt have any section that suck. It’s great to watch from start to finish, feels a bit like watching a NoFriends video, with a god vibe to it and it makes you wanna pack your stuff and go on trip so bad. The extras are cool too with the Mex and Pipe comps well filmed and great footage from these events.
The highlights are the Mex, Pipe and French Polynesia footage. Oh, also Josh Garner definitely has one of the best style in the water: smooth, precise and explosive. His riding in Mexico and the wedge are good to watch if you wanna learn how to ride well, really well.

PLC is the 2012 IBA Sintra Pro Champs ! Congrats PLC ! PLC won in the finals against South Af’ Jared Houston in tiny conditions. In the Womens division the next day it is Japanese bodyboarder Minami Hatakeyama who won her finals against Eunate Aguirre (current world champ). The next Women’s GSS event will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 11-16 September.
In the Mens division Winny has the lead in the ratings and is aiming at the world title. PLC is #2 at the moment. Winny has a massive lead though. The next Mens GSS event will be held at Puerto Escondido/Zicatela from September 27 to October 6.
In the Womens division it’s Isabelle Sousa who’s got the lead in the ratings.
