Edited & filmed by Ryan Mattick and James Kates (makers of FLUX and FEVER DREAM). THE VIKING shows team ZION exploring Europe’s best waves in France, The UK, Ireland, Scotland, Iceland…
Incredible movie, great waves, cool soundtrack, great adventure and talented riders. Really well filmed with incredible lights, sceneries and lifestyle footage. Highlights include crazy waves at Riley’s in Ireland, Aileens as well and many other slabs.
Featuring: Sam Bennett, James Kates, Jase Finlay, Koots, Chris James, Thom Robinson, Jack Johns, Ryan Mattick and more…
This movie lasts 1H and the sceneries, filming, editing etc. is really really good. A must watch !

PURE is a visual project filmed over the past 18 Months on the coastlines of Australia. Filmed and directed by Nic Baclay and featuring: Kim Feast, Mitch Woodland, Brendon Backshall and many others. Sick movie, action-packed and great to get amped before you go surf. The Kim Feast section is perfect for all dk lovers and those north point pits are insane. Definitely a must see !

RING OF FIRE II – By Rob Isambert is the latest DVD out of California, USA. It’s quite rare these days to see a DVD from the US. The DVD takes you to the south pacific, indonesia, hawaii, baja california, the pacific northwest, tasmania, mexico and california. It features the best californian riders as well as the biggest names in the sport. Rob worked about 3 years on this project and it’s definitely a must see.

NOTHING by Rob Sherwood was released a couple months ago but we havent had the time to review it before although we loved the video and think it deserves way more than the coverage it got til now. It’s got everything a good DVD needs and even more. The only thing that could haven been better is the length of the video itself. It’s slightly too short and would have been awesome to have one or tow extra sections in it. Read the full review by clicking the below link.

« A lifetime passion that forever changes you » Mike Stewart
Those who grew up with a Mach 7-7 board in their hands, those who have been hooked up from the beginning, those for whom the politically correct bodyboard designation will never take the place of the boogieboard, those people have patiently been waiting for their Holy Bible – since THE INSIDE Dvd, released more than 10 years ago. And finally, FIRE came out!
Can you imagine! A film shot by the brilliant director of the excellent THE INSIDE video, Scott Carter himself!
The result is surprising, to say the least. Those who are keen on action bodyboard videos like the Waldrons videos would rather not watch it in the same way they watch an action packed bodyboarding DVD or Podcast but they should definitely watch it.

A great DVD from the creators of SAME BUT DIFFERENT (Claws & Teeth – Dan Nicholls & West Matteeussen) with fresh faces, fresh waves, fresh footage, fresh editing and a lot more. The quality of the footage is really really good with a clean and clear image and not a single pixel of fuzzy stuff. The angles are sick too with a good mix of water footage and land footage and good original filming. There’s quite a bunch of riders in the vid as well as classic “everyone” sections. THRASH by Todd Barnes… The good thing with a Todd Barnes movie is that you know it’s gonna be good. After VIDEO (Todd’s previous DVD which we reviewed here), NF10 (which was edited by Todd) and ROAM (Todd editing as well) is seems that everything Todd films and edits turns into a sick film. THRASH is no exception and it’s definitely one of the best DVD in 2009 along with the BEN PLAYER PROJECT and ROAM II.

The Ben Player Project filmed and edited by the Waldron Bros. is probably the best movie for 2009… and it’s only early Feb. Yeah, it’s THAT good. If you havent heard of the Ben Player Project yet on this site or any other bbing-related site… then you might have a reading or memory issue. It’s been the most anticipated movie in 2008-2009 (along with THRASH by Todd Barnes) and it delivers just as promised, if not more. Read the rest of the review by clicking the link below.

First thing that came to mind while watching HELLO by Lucky Squirrel Club is that the LSC crew had fun travelling and capturing every single moment they had while on trip. The DVD is a mix of Oz, Hawaii and Ireland footage with both a clean and sleek editing mixed with a touch of arty sepia-looking-old-film-super8 kinda footage. Nice lifestyle stuff (not boring) well balanced with good action images from the best. Read the rest of the HELLO DVD Review by clicking the link below.

Love Live Life is the new Boss It Up DVD. Boss It Up is a Portuguese crew of bodyboarders, filming and organizing events in Portugal (such as the FFAT Euro Freak Fest event in portugal with Manny Vargas). This DVD will take you around the world with the Boss It Up crew and all their friends. There are so many good riders from Portugal. We knew that but we were still amazed while watching the DVD. We knew some of the names (the most famous ones) but most riders were totally unknown (for us at least) although all ripped. Click the link below to read the whole review for this DVD.
