is out… or almost. Anyway, we’re already frothing ! Peep the cover here with a sick shot of Amaury Laverhne by Ben DeCamp. In this issue we have:
How time flies. It feels like only the other day we were pouring over the teenage issues of this mag and hailing the new gen. Now we’re approaching middle years and looking for a new name for this generation as they assume profiles, centre spreads and the heartiest chunks of this mag. We’ve run a joint profile this issue on two young guys at the fore, Thomas Smith and Thomas Robinson. The reason for the double feature is that they represent opposite sides of the emerging scene, one buoyed by competition and a professional approach and the other who loves the sport for its lifestyle and alternative nature. There’s some more Hawaiian gear, photo style and Pipe report, plus a photo trip to South Australia. Our Noise this issue is a Mexican prodigy who’s being groomed for stardom plus we’ve got a story on Joe Clarke, about the need for young dudes to chase their own glory. Aka Lyman fills a DNA profile and the best girls in the world make up our Gang. On shelves now.
Can’t wait to see the mag in the Spongercity mailbox.

Hey Portuguese riders and portugueses speaking-riders beware, VERT mag issue 85 is out now ! We havent received it yet but it’s always good and classy with slick images, good riders and design. Although we don’t understand a word of what is said in the articles, it must be good ! he he If VERT was in english, they’d call it MOVEMENT. Yeah it’s almost that good. There’s heaps of local riders in the mag though.
This is what the good people at VERT had to say about this new issue:
Awesome barrel of Pitaça on the cover. This new spot is called Beyoncé and we really can´t say more, besides that lays on portuguese mainland… Other features in the mag include articles about magic Australia, the Kingdom (a.k.a. Portugal), an incredible trip around Lanzarote and other cool stuff. Check it out!
Peep Vert-Mag.com for more, and oh peep the cover here.

Riptide issue 163 is hitting the streets as we sepak. What’s inside ?
“Novacastrian Dallas Singer flies high above a temperate Hawaiian lip for his second Riptide cover !”. “With the help of Kim Feast Rippies has tutored you the art of throwing serious tail” as the issue recap says. There’s also “10-pages of stupefying photo fodder” and an article about the state of DK now: “Is DK dead?” with a Roach interview and more… There’s also late season hawaii shots, and a Pipeline Pro recap. Last but not least there’s a RT Wettie Guide for “an enlightening journey into the dense rubber jungle of neoprene technology and, most importantly, the swiftest road to warmth in the water this winter”.
