20+ years ago videographer Scotty Carter released what was – and still is – one of the most perfect and influential video (VHS back in the days) of all time. It had everything in it: pros ripping, new destinations, a great soundtrack, it was an hour+ in running length, was well editing, well thought, had some messages in it that todays politics should have listened to, it had flair, had Paul Roach, had Chad Barba, had Mike Stewart and a million other legends, it had a soul that forever forged what bodyboarding was, is, and will be. It’s bodyboarding’s history and more. There’s a “before” and “after” this video, it separates what could be considered “oldschool” and what became “new school”. It’s was filmed around ‘93 we reckon. If you havent watched it yet, you need to. If you know it already then re-watch it. Just the intro with some Slayer soundtrack to fucken’ wake you up will – and should – get ya amped to watch it all.
This time we’ve chosen some serious DK action for you: Kainoa McGee + Aka Lyman in Fu Man Chu
Very few people have mastered the art of DKing at Pipe, Kainoa McGee is one of them and it shows in his Fu Man Chu part… what a Legend. Aka Lyman will show you what style and fluidity is when you DK, no one has more style than Aka whether it’s frontside or backside, Legend!

Todd Barnes’ latest DVD – TRASH – Awesome DVD, great editing, great soundtrack, loads of riders, hawaii, oz, shipsterns, mexico and more… dont miss this one! Read our full review:
If The Inside had a baby with No Friends 1 with today’s footage quality and Todd Barnes’ special touch, it might be TRASH, it’s got a bit of both world with grainy/arty footage like NF1 back the days and some fuct up / mash up footage from all the crazyness that surrounds us everyday like you’ve seen in The Inside.
The riding is insane with all the pros you can name (Ben Player, Joe Clark, Tom Rigby, James Kates, Jase Finlay, Tom Robinson or Mitch Rawlins). Hard to remember one specific highlight from the DVD but Mitch Rawlins’ footage definitely shines with absolutely perfect bottom turns and scooping style unrivaled by most riders).
The heli footage at Nuggan is another insane feature in the video. You need to watch it to understand what we’re talking about.
Shipsterns part shows some of the craziest stuff we’ve seen out there.
The end section that never ends with more amazing footage is another great surprise in this video.
Once again Todd Barnes delivered the goods with yet another great DVD, very well filmed and edited with a soundtrack that should please all public.
